I want to know who are the 8,228 fucktards (as of 2:30 this morning) who voted an Oklahoma State with a 6-10 mark in league play into the NCAAs.....

I thought the same thing. .500 or worse in conference (most conferences) and you should not make the tourney. Especially since, and correct me if I'm wrong, but Oklahoma State didn't win a single road game this season in conference, did they?

I like this Miami run. Well, until they get to the final, then they can go screw.

App State makes its pitch to the committee:

March 9, 2007 - Appalachian State University men's basketball hopes a full-page advertisement in Friday's Indianapolis Star extolling the Mountaineers' impressive resume will drive home the team's accomplishments and warrant serious at-large consideration for the NCAA Tournament.

"We felt like we needed to do something a little unusual and aggressive to market our team because we deserve consideration for an at-large bid." said director of athletics Charlie Cobb.

The Indianapolis Star's circulation of nearly 350,000 makes it one of the top-40 papers in the nation. More importantly, Indianapolis is the headquarters of the NCAA and the NCAA Men's Basketball Selection Committee.

ASU's bold marketing effort is already drawing national media attention with various outlets beginning to champion the Apps' case for an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Has any school ever gone to this lengths to get the committee's attention?

I'm surprised Manky Jimy didn't come on to post after masturbating all over Saraceno's App State column this morning.

    Florida State shouldn't be in.

I'd put Appy State and Drexel in before the Noles.

Appy State's main claim is their RPI after Donte Minter became eligible -- somewhere around 40. That's not bad, and they have quality wins (Virginia and Vandy on neutral floors, VCU on the road, Davidson at home), but even if their legit RPI was 40, I can't imagine it being enough.

Is Air Force out? Not enough good wins and a losing streak. Hard to believe from the team ranked 13th at one point, but they're cratering.

    Huge waste of money.

They would have had similiar results drawing a picture of their home arena filled to capacity for an NIT game and faxing it to the NIT committee.

In unrelated news, Harvey Weinstein is speaking at Appy State's graduation.
