Lunardi said a few minutes ago that ODU and Drexel were still in, but I really can't imagine how they'd both survive today. On top of everyone else I mentioned a few posts ago, Kansas State is in good shape now.

I'm a CAA guy, I'd love to see them score three this season. But right now, I'm thinking they'll be extremely fortunate to get two.

Did Lunardi have St. Joe's at a No. 2 seed? Or a 3?

The S-curve dropped them to a 4, actually

Maybe Utah State should take Nevada's bid.

No, there shouldn't. It should be about the entire season and UCLA is clearly one of the top 4 teams. It's NOT about the entire season because most people don't pay attention until late February and talking heads change their minds after every game.

The question is, if not UCLA, who? Think of the potential 2-3-4 seeds who've bit the dust so far this week along with the Bruins, like Texas A&M. Who'd risk a nickel on Georgetown beating Pitt tonight? Kansas, Florida, and Ohio State seem good. Wisconsin if they don't win their tourney? Can't see it over UCLA.
BTW, I'm very fond of the BC team, which provides good entertainment value in these parts. But if there was ever a 20-win power conference team that oughta be bumped for a deserving mid-major, it's them. Without Williams, they're not so good.

Yet they're a top four ACC team and an ACC semifinalist. They ain't getting bumped. Rice and Dudley are two pretty good players. Not as strong as it used to be but that team doesn't suck.

People need to take a much closer look at the strength of schedule rankings. If a team plays a lot of winning teams from bad conferences it will have a better strength of schedule than playing .500 teams from the power conferences. Illinois' strength of schedule is really high but look who they played in the non-conference (and I'm not saying that they shouldn't be in, I'm just using it as an example): Austin Peay, Jackson State, Georgia Southern, Florida A&M, Savannah State, Miami-Ohio, Bradley, Maryland, Arizona, IUPUI, UIC, Belmont, Idaho State, Xavier. They played a lot of winning teams from really bad conferences, greatly supporting their strength of schedule numbers.

Moddy, by no means did I mean to say BC is bad, or even mediocre. But without Williams, it's a .500 ACC team, which I'm not sure should be NCAA-worthy.
Now watch them beat Carolina after this post.

As long as Duke is the 10 and Winthrop is the 7. ;D

Seriously, I'm glad Syracuse lost. It gives T-Rob a little more time to rest before the tournament. Still, I'm nervous.

I don't want to see the Orange playing Winthrop, Weber or Creighton. I don't think I could take another first-round lost.
