    I can't tell if you're supporting the mid-majors or not. If you're not, I think we're fighting again. :D

But the point is the majors always benefit from the fluid logic used to determine the validity of mid-majors. If you do great against a weak schedule, you should have played better teams. If you do very well against a tougher schedule, you should have done better. If you lose on the road, you should have won.

I can't wait to hear how they spin Drexel's omission tomorrow. Most road-hardened team in the land and they're gonna get shitcanned. And there's no way in fuck they are not one of the top 65 teams in the land....or one of the top 31 non conference winners.

not as fresh as the year-long mediocrities who are turning it on in their conference tourneys this week.

Drexel's nonconference victories and SOS and will be fresh in the selection committee's minds. Same as ODU's big wins during the nonconference schedule. Compare them to Purdue or Illinois or K-State and I know which one I would take every time.

Yes but you're a human being, not a drone bent on turning the BCS schools into the Clear Channel of the NCAA Tournament.

Your only hope as a mid-major is to have an AD on the committee. Fuck you again Tom O'Connor.

So how much longer are you going to whine about last year. Even Speedy Claxton thinks it's getting old.

    Every March.

And Speedy's got other issues. Plus he got to break out his dancing shoes.

Far be it from me, the ODU grad on board, to dispute your argument, but the Monarchs have one big win during the nonconference sked -- G'Town. They lost to Clemson and Winthrop at home, Marist on the road and were blown out by Va. Tech.

Their hopes lie with that G'Town win, a top-40 RPI and what they did against the top of the CAA. Their nonconference schedule doesn't help them that much.

OK, so Drexel's in, ODU's out. So long as one of them make it in, I'm happy. The CAA deserves two in my book.

    Mystery Meat,

For what it's worth, I think both Drexel and ODU make it in, but I can tell you that many on this board don't believe a big win (like G'Town or Wisconsin) and a loss against Winthrop gets someone in the tournament, even if they have a top 40 RPI and SOS. Yet, a major program with a SOS of 99 and RPI of 56 is being given a much greater chance of getting in than more deserving mid-majors.

Yup. The Selection Committee: Life in a nutshell.

The CAA IS NOT GETTING THREE. It's probably not even getting two.
