I think someone is going to have to talk my downstairs neighbor down from a ledge.

Well, the No. 4 seed in the Big 12 with victories at Texas and USC didn't make the cut. I can't stand Kansas State, but I'm stunned that they didn't get in. K-State whipped Texas Tech by 21 in the Big 12 Tournament. Yet Tech is in, K-State is out. Go figure.

And TSP, again, boy do I hope you're right Re: Kansas.

Kick Stanford for Drexel and I'm fine with the teams invited. Arkansas earned their way in, asskicking today notwithstanding.

Overseeded -- Virginia at 4, Butler at 5, Southern Cal at 5, Duke at 6, Gonzaga at 10, George Washington at 11
Underseeded -- Louisville at 6, UNLV at 7, Marquette at 8, Xavier at 9, Villanova at 9

The mid-majors didn't get screwed. There were fewer compelling teams this year. The MVC wasn't as good. That's where the bids were lost.

SIX teams from the dog-ass Big Ten? They deserved three -- four if they were lucky.

Happily, only two will be alive by Sunday.

Does anyone honestly think the committee forgot about Syracuse? Like midway through CBS airing the brackets, some suit goes, 'holy shit! We forgot the Cuse!'

10 wins in the Big East, 22 overall, and no dancing. Has a Big east team with 10 wins EVER been shafted?

Boeheim is going to shit himself on PTI Monday.

Joe Lunardi whiffed like Rob Deer during a Sunday doubleheader.

Jimmy is having a brain burst right now.

They waited until the last possible second to ask the suit on CBS and he kind of side-stepped the question.

    BULLSHIT.

Could be worse; Michigan could be in.

True and true, but fourth-place in the CAA was never getting in...particularly after they lost in the semis.

It sucks, and it just drives home that mid-majors have to be just about perfect if they're not going to win an auto bid. Either win on the road a lot and do well in your conference or you can spell NIT. Hopefully Drexel makes the Final Four there.

And while I heart Farmer J, I have no sympathy for a big six school that gets bootsed. None. Now Cuse know how the rest of the world feels. Plus you guys won it all four years ago. I'd take that any time.

Now, THAT would have been hilarious. It's bad enough that Sparty, who stumbled like a dump truck with four flat tires down the stretch, made it in. But they need first-round cannon fodder, so why not??
