How weird do you feel now if you run into Larry Craig in the Senate bathroom?

 

He'd probably have to, when you think about the mechanics of the transaction. Which I would most definitely prefer not to.

 

Has anyone else heard about the new studies that say men can contract HIV from sitting on men's restroom toilet seats? It's especially dangerous when the guy sitting their before hasn't gotten up yet.

 

He will serve out his term and agree not to run again in '08.

The Idaho GOP couldn't find anyone willing to be Senator at this stage of the game.

 

And Olbermann, et al, will hammer him until he announces again that he plans to resign ASAP.

His crime is not the alleged attempt at gay sex, it's the sense of entitlement he possesses.

 

It doesn't matter.
There is no possibility of this seat passing to a Democrat, and its value as a national issue has a limited shelf-life, considering that there's a real case to be made for entrapment here. So he might as well stay, telling the national GOP to piss off in the bargain.

 

Tell anyone about this time last year if Mark Foley had a snowball's chance in Hell of losing, and you would've been laughed at.

The situations are different, but all this decision does is keep the story (almost dead) in the news and piss off a bunch of people.

If anything else is found on Craig, he's DOA.

 

If a sense of entitlement was a crime, Washington, D.C., would cease to exist.

 

This is just a time-buying measure to let a willing and acceptable GOP candidate to get his/her ducks in a row to run for election.

Craig has won his last election.
