By the time I was eight I was grabbing the spare keys to my parents' '65 Catalina so my brothers and I could get into the trunk and peek at the gifts. I have to think kids are more resourceful these days.

I'm not a follower of pop music, but that annoying-ass song has been EVERYWHERE of late. It's like some sort of government conspiracy virus. I'm concerned that the subliminal message "obey" is embedded in it.

Alex is a much better answer than Geno, I bet.

I did a lot of second guessing this week and changed most of my initial answers.

Count me in with Geno, Vers.

    I went with Passover.

I don't feel good about my potential score. I should have worn a bow tie while picking.

Yom Kippur? Really? All of a sudden, high-brow Jewish answers?

    The answer is Passover.

Explanations: Thought sheeple would go with the biggest lake; Passover ... Pass. O. Ver.; thought Fallon would resonate more because of his skits with Timberlake; J.R. has been in the news a lot; unbeaten halfway thru the season; I Kissed A Girl is easily her most recognizable song; considered grapes; John, Mike or Jeff should be the top 3 answers, went with the most Christian answer; either PToA or Father of the Bride; Buddy is iconic.

    1. Name a Great Lake. -- Lake Superior
    2. Name a Jewish holiday other than Hanukkah (just for you, MTM!). -- Passover
    3. Who is the best current late night host? -- Fallon
    4. Name an active professional athlete whose last name is Smith. -- J.R.
    5. How far will Arizona go in the NCAA tournament? -- Final 4
    6. Name a Katy Perry song. -- I Kissed A Girl
    7. Name a purple food. -- eggplant
    8. What's a popular name for boys, decade after decade? -- John
    9. Name a Steve Martin movie other than "The Jerk." -- Planes, Trains and Automobiles
    10. Buddy, Rex or Rob Ryan? -- Buddy

I was wavering between "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" and "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" and Ruprecht the Monkey Boy. "Father of the Bride" wouldn't have come up until I was WAY down the list.

Switched from Lake Erie and went with Lake Michigan. Held my nose and went with Fallon. I'm too old to stay up and watch Late Night, even on Central time. I'm old.

    1. Great Lake: Michigan
    2. Jewish holiday: Rosh Hashanah
    3. Late night host: Fallon (ugh)
    4. Smith: Alex
    5. Arizona NCAA run: Final Four
    6. Katy Perry song: Roar
    7. Purple food: Eggplant
    8. Popular boys name: John
    9. Steve Martin movie: Planes, Trains and Automobiles
    10. Buddy, Rex or Rob: Buddy
