I thought that, too, but I don't think you will ever get everyone to agree on one thing on this site.

All Washington did was beat the tea-drinking Brits and be the first President. Plus he's got a state and a city named after him. Maybe the last one did him in.

I will concede that Lincoln Logs are more fun than Washington Logs.

Oh, c'mon. Lincoln is still the iconic prez. GOAT.

Washington had the mistake of starting out so early.

I attribute it to good press for Lincoln surrounding the Gettysburg Address anniversary.

Abraham Lincoln was a hero of circumstance, though he clearly also made a ton of great moves while in office.

Versatile's U.S. presidents power rankings (top 10 for now, may be revised or expanded):

    1. Thomas Jefferson
    2. George Washington
    3. Franklin Roosevelt
    4. Abraham Lincoln
    5. James Monroe
    6. Woodrow Wilson
    7. Theodore Roosevelt
    8. James Madison
    9. Andrew Jackson
    10. Lyndon Johnson

The Roosevelt family is the SEC of presidents.
