    "Cleanses the palate"?!?! Xan, licking all the plates does not constitute doing the dishes. And, I'm afraid I must decline any and all future brunch invites at Casa de Xan.

    Taking out the trash takes all of three minutes to gather it from around the house, take it outside, roll bin to the curb and replace the bag in the kitchen receptacle.

    Washing dishes takes at least 30 minutes to wash, rinse, dry and put away. Talk about a waste of time and energy.

    I would never even consider living in a place that doesn't have 1) a dishwasher and 2) a garbage disposal. The former because, screw dishes...and the latter because it cuts down on changing the garbage since foodstuffs don't take up the space.
