Shocking Michael J. Fox Ad in MO Senate Race

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by Deeper_Background, Oct 24, 2006.

  1. And the argument is still incoherent.
Everybody thought the earth was flat until people took a chance and went out on experimental voyages and discovered it wasn't. How that translates to the equivalent of "Most people believe in ESC, so it must be wrong" is beyond me.

I'm interested in hearing more about the "experimental voyage" of Pythagoras. And was it government funded? Do tell.

Jack, Scribe, Yawn and Old Tony all in the same place. Wow.

Collectively they MIGHT put a coherent thought together.

    But I doubt it.

OK, poochie, you wanted references to tumor growth from injected ESCs. Here it is:

    http://journals.bcdecker.com/pubs/JIM/volume%2054,%202006/issue%2001,%20January/JIM_2006_05043/JIM_2006_05043.pdf

Look at page 2, column 1, near the end of the 9th line:

Tumor formation continues to be a problem for the potential clinical
use of ES cells; the uncontrolled growth of native or even
ES-derived progenitor cells is one factor that has so far
    precluded their use in humans.

This is a fully credentialed Doctor of Medicine that wrote this article. I think I'll take his word over the NY Times and some shit-faced sports writer in Jerk-off Montana on this one.

Hey, Scribe, do you believe in Intelligent Design?

    Just askin'.

    I know DyePack doesn't.

    Exceedingly well-played, sir.

    Nope.

Out of curiousity, what does intelligent design have to do with the fact that I am against ESC on medical grounds? Or was that a set-up question for a religion slam?

Let's see, an alarming number of posts on a couple of threads, several wild, crazy attacks on various people (me, in particular) for no good reason and reasoning that would prompt insane asylum guests to say WTF ... reminds me of someone.

Although you have to admit, his last link was not a bad response to your Keirstead post, which I apologize for missing in the overly prolonged flat earth nitpick.

Meantime, I'll admit the Keirstead post was the best one I've seen yet on your side of the issue. It at least provides a glimmer of hope.

    He only lived 18 days?
Well, there's certainly no future in this technique.
(And, before it starts, I assure you that there was a great number of people who wanted it abandoned or gave it up as futile.)

Typical liberal response. If I disagree with you I am:

    A. Attacking you and,
    B. Insane

As for posting on limited threads, well unlike you poochie, I have a real job, a real life and quite a number of duties and responsibilities that take up a great deal of my time. I will only post on a thread when I have an opinion on the subject at hand. If I have nothing pertinent to say, I'll simply read the thread and move on without comment.
The foolishness of the Democrats and the libs in this country I'll comment on. Is Jason Whitliock an egomaniac? And is Merced, California really the armpit of the world? These issues I have something to say about.
Whether or not the AP sends photos over the wire fast enough or are all MEs giant pains in the ass are subjects I'll leave for others to pass judgment on.
While you should limit yourself to posting on which flavor of Pop-Tarts are the best, feel free to ramble on about any subject you want poochie, even when you don't have a clue what you are talking about.
