Shooting at Las Vegas casino

Not so much a slump as a decline from the guns and ammo firesale as a right-side reaction to the Obama administration. There had to be a decline sometime.

With Trump in the WH, we all feel safer.

My F-I-L, for example, purchased 2 AR-15s, 2 pistols a couple of long rifles and enough ammo for all. This is a man who shots almost exclusively with a muzzleloader, and only hunts (with a muzzleloader) once a year.

 

My boss, a self-described “staunch conservative,” was primarily pissed yesterday at the CBS News employee who said she didn’t have sympathy for the gun-toting country fans who were in the line of fire.

 

Only natural ... she's still among the living.

 

People are talking about shooting wild hogs.

It's an inane conversation.

 

Not to people whose job it is to shoot wild hogs it's not.

 

A TV station in Boston is claiming to have photos of the weapons used in the attack. One of the rifles has a bump stock on it.

Country star Jason Aldean issues rallying cry for unity

Country star Jason Aldean says he's praying for the victims of the Las Vegas shootings, saying his "heart aches" and issuing a rallying cry for Americans to come together.

The singer writes something has "changed" in the world, making it "the kind of place I am afraid to raise my children in."

 

And here I thought he lost it on the RBI thread.

 

Las Vegas makes the gun control discussion interesting because a "good guy with a gun" - and I assume there were more than a few at a Jason Aldean show - wouldn't have even known where the shots were coming from. It's a blow to that particular quiver.
