It's now the deadliest shooting incident in U.S. history, CNN just said.

Another rush to judgment. Maybe the person who runs the site was trapped on campus or is somewhere else away from a computer. This is still pretty fresh news.

Wow, if that stat is true, 16 in Texas and a handful in other loacations. This is three or four standard devaitions (stat term) away from the norm.

Amazing. I wonder how this compares world wide?

Virginia Tech is looking worse and worse every minute.

And it won't just happen in Blacksburg. There will be a backlash in places so far away from Blacksburg that it won't be funny.

We can make it harder than it is. That’s all I’m saying. Just because we can’t prevent something doesn’t mean we can’t do everything in our power to make it more difficult. We can prioritize crime and go after the legitimately dangerous criminals the most. We can stiffen penalties.

I was wondering the same thing. If it's just one person, it seems like maybe a group could have rushed him.

Of course, it's easy to say that while sitting in my apartment.

we don't need stiffer penalities we just need current laws to be upheld. That's all.

That was probably up over the weekend and they haven't changed it.

I'm not understanding what is shameful about this, except for posters like yourself wanting to place blame on things/persons who right now really don't matter.

31 people are dead because of the actions of one person and you want to complain about a recruiting website? Priorities. Priorities.
