If someone is shot and killed on campus at 7:15 a.m., it would seem -- at the least -- respectful to go ahead and cancel classes the rest of the day.

Unfortunately that's how we do things in this country. Once again, this will melt down into a high profile soap box debate about gun control, about the lack of security at schools, about the lack of a response when really, we need to be asking the question why?

What in our culture, what is wrong with us, that this keeps happening. Not just shootings, the teenagers hanging themselves or burning their friends. We need to take a long hard look at our culture and figure out where we went wrong, what we are doing wrong and what we can do to fix it. Is it a lack of family structure? Is it a lack of God? Is it our choices of entertainment?

I'm not saying I have any solutions or that any of those things are factors, I'm saying something is very wrong and we need to get to the root of it and we won't.

Some of these reporters at the presser sound like assholes. It's one thing to ask hard questions, but your fucking opinion doesn't matter, Joe or Jane Reporter. They're still investigating. Do you think any one of those people being interviewed wanted anyone to die?

Fucking compassion, people. Have some.

The university made a key mistake by, in my opinion, saying they couldn't shut the university down. They could've shut down roads leading to the area. I can't believe the administration is saying this.

I'm listening to the live press conference now. I can't stand the "attack mentality" of the media in these situations. I know they are just doing their job, but I think it makes the media look bad to the general public.

I was just asking why you can't understand why they couldn't get the campus on lockdown faster. I don't want to go back (nor do I have time) and re-read the entire topic to find what you said.
