    Don't come down so hard on boots. They've had drills at his office, and he's also been privy to a few meetings regarding safety. We can only hope that the next time something like this happens, the administrators involved have him on speed dial. It's obvious that he has all the answers.

    I mean, seriously, how hard can it be to clear an area of 30,000 people? I'm sure it's done all the time.

    Including one that is named Katie Couric, as I mentioned in my last post. Russ Mitchell on CBS confirmed that she is down at VaTech during the presser, asking stupid annoying questions.

    To respond to the Mr. Big Swinging Dick who asked about
    : dude, this is real, not rehersal for "America's Next Anchorman."

    I just thought about this on the time lapse between trying to contact the students et al. Most students usually don't check their emails right away in the morning, unless they are an geek that's on the computer or a compulsive email checker. Several of them sleep late or just getting ready to go to a later class. With nearly 900 at Amber Johnston, not all of them (except those in the area of the shooting) is going to know right away what's going on in their own dorm.

    Just how unbelievable could this story become if the two dead in the dorm and the 30-plus dead in the engineering hall were totally unrelated instances?
