    What's this crap that I'm hearing that classes will resume Wednesday. Is anyone down there using their brains? You go through something like this on a Weds and then expect people to be focused on Latin American History 48 hours later? Cancel for the week.

    Wrong on all accounts, BYH. Campus will be open, but there will be no classes at all. The day will be for counseling and mourning. Parents are encouraged not to rush down, but if they do they will be briefed and updated on what's going on.

    No. They're holding a memorial ceremony tomorrow on campus and, from what my friend Tyson told me just over an hour ago, classes will remain canceled until at least the end of this week. He said they could cancel them even longer than that.

    And for what it's worth, I think Idaho's observation about a city of 30,000 is completely legit. In fact, I think locking down a city the size of UT might actually be easier thank locking down our campus, and I suspect other campuses are the same way.

    Are you trying to set a record for ridiculously stupid posts in one hour? I'll guarantee that this tragedy would have been lessened greatly if a couple armed NRA members were on the scene early on.

    You know, I feel absolutely sick for this kids' parents and family as well as for all his victims.

    I know nothing about them, but can you imagine the grief and anguish they are experiencing?
