Latest story has one gunman, dead, but a weird photo of a guy being "restrained" by police. Could be someone who didn't get the word and got spotted running toward a dorm.

I just dont think it was a seperate shooting. The shooter got away at 7am, the campus is huge. He then hid until his class and went in and started shooting there too.

Good Lord. I hope this is not true. I cannot imagine a public institution letting down its students this way.

We all know as the story unfolds more and more details will come out that things will come to a centered position. God I hope the details start to make sense.

I bet this kid had a bad week or a bad group of days and, as you say teetering on nuts...

Fail a test, get a bad grade or are close to failing...girl breaks up with you....feels like his life is over and goes crazy

Emphasis on the "teetering on nuts" part. My freshman year of college I failed a class and had a girlfriend break up with me in the same week. I handled it by sharing a case of Keystones with my buddies, not by mowing people down

We have people here who were touched by this tragedy (either directly or indirectly, either professionally or personally, or both). Let's make sure this thread doesn't turn into another place to argue. I understand there will be second-guessing about the way the administration handled this, and other issues will be debated, but let's stay professional and humane and respectful about how we discuss this. Please.

News is still being gathered. Families are still learning of their losses. Others don't know if their loved ones are OK. Others might be out of pocket and unaware. Some of them are our SportsJournalists.com friends. Don't lose sight of that.
