    Can't a boy make a joke - after being prompted - at 3:30am? :)

I am a feminist. And that's the truth. Watching your mom struggle to raise 5 kids by herself - and seeing her get jerked over by chauvinistic bosses and coworkers all the while - will have that effect on you. ;)

But being a feminist and desiring other, like-minded feminists aren't mutually exclusive positions, right? I sure hope not, or I'm toast! Ha ha. :)

Last post amended, due to sleep-deprived bad first attempt.

I disagree with the idea of women calling each other "hos" and "bitches" because it seems to be the "friendly" thing to do. Liberally throwing the terms around legitimize them.

Just curious, but are the 4 white women who were part of the Rutger's basketball team considered direct victims or collateral? They clearly weren't Imus' intended targets, since by any racists definition they aren't nappy-headed?
So are white girls allowed to be victims of this tragedy?

But they aren't the real victims are they? Just collateral damage, so they don't count as much? I mean as white girls, they really don't have the burdens imposed on them by society and caused by Imus, therefore their victimization isn't as traumatic

The Duke kids no doubt endured an immensely more painful & scarring experience, but the difference is they were behaving badly. Might not've done anything illegal, but anytime college jocks get drunk and invite strippers over the chances of trouble go way up. Whereas the Rutgers girls did absolutely nothing to provoke their little scandal.
