I made it up. Just kidding.

I pulled it right from the last 990 I could find for The Robert Smith Foundation in Columbus, Ohio. Every nonprofit has to file one with the IRS. It gives you detailed info about the financials. The most recent 990 filed was for 2003. It is no longer listed by the IRS as having tax-exempt status. For 2003 in that 990 (if you want exact numbers, and a bottom line), total revenue was $79,085. Total Expenses were $94,081. The organization ended the year with $1,437 in assets.

Just getting my citation out there. I hope I don't get dinged for not following APA style.
I've got to get an A on this to maintain my 3.8 GPA.

I think we've decided to use Chicago-style citations, in honor of one of the great quitters of recent years:

Steelers might have seven Super Bowls if he played with his boo boo against GB.

My citations, notes, errata, sources, transcripts and bibliography can all be found in the "Second Concordance to the 'Should I Let My Son Quit Football?' Thread." WTF Minibike Imprint of the University of Chicago Press, 2012.

Cutler may be a quitter, but at least he's not a gay punter.

Biggie, I can't find the reference.
I thought he was quoted in Astronomy magazine.
    So I beg your pardon.
I don't think he's just some poseur, though.
He has a clear interest in the subject.
And he has the respect of his peers.
Don't forget he was once a candidate for the job De Smith now has.
This was the most interesting thing I could find: Smith's 2009 e-mail battle with Mike Florio.
