You might want to look at a timeline or something, because this makes no sense.

  2. JFK had a Swiss bank account. All of the Kennedy's did. Joe Sr. was no fool with money. Not a big deal then and not a big deal now.

Of course on a board where there is 90% support for Obama - I'm not counting on any reasonable clear-minded thinking.

I wonder if he saves as much in taxes by doing this as John Kerry did by mooring his big boat in Rhode Island.

    I'm sure we'll find out.

This actually makes the dog debate (eating them vs. putting them on the roof) seem intelligent.

On a good day, maybe. It's probably closer to five percent.

Different standards for different parties. Republicans have to have "cleaner" personal lives because that's what they often call for in society.

For money, Democrats call for higher taxes. Romney with a Swiss bank account shouldn't resonate. John Kerry and the yacht is different because his party calls for higher taxes and plays class warfare. Kerry keeping his yacht in RI rings very, very hollow for a tax and spender.

Of course, you all know it isn't about the Swiss bank account alone. It's about building a narrative of Romney being out of touch with voters in a troubled economy, and motivated not by a need to help people, but to help the kind of people who have Swiss bank accounts (cut to image of Mitt twirling his nonexistent handlebar mustache.)

It would be quite an accomplishment for our Kenyan-born, Muslim/radical Christian, dog-eating, half-black/half-white, madrassa-attending, whitey-hating wifed, teleprompter-addicted, 57-state-traveling president to portray the Whitest Man in America as Not One of Us, but Mittens is providing plenty of ammo.

The Shriek Machine's attempts to brand Obama as elitist will be entertaining. ARUGULA!

You don't save anything in U.S. income tax by banking in Switzerland.

If he was hiding income there, or laundering money, and using Swiss banking secrecy laws to illegally avoid paying U.S. taxes, he'd be breaking the law.

If anyone has any evidence of that, they can knock him right out of the presidential race right now.

Of course, he'd be one stupid son of a bitch if that was the case. Obama's justice department would already be teed up to prosecute him, given that Switzerland lifted its distinction between tax evasion and tax fraud in 2009, and has widened its cooperation with the U.S.

Even drug dealers and arms dealers have found safer places to hide money.
