    I don't think they will; they'll re-sign Lowell.

I thought for most of the year that the Sox would be the front-runners in bidding for Torii Hunter, but the emergence of Ellsbury probably means that won't happen, either.

We need a hot stove thread...

Wouldn't bank on that; Yanks will offer Lowell big-time money. It's another Damon deal waiting to happen.

No Zeke, you are wrong. Joba Chamberlin will pitch 40 consecutive complete games, and never allow a hit because he is the greatest rookie pitcher since Jesus played for the Nazareth Carpenters and won the Galilee Gulf Coast League MVP, going 13-2 with a 1.05 ERA in 135 innings. If you listen closely, I think they are still chanting JO-BA in the Bronx right now...

Did the word rise and roar again like a yearning?

That would be really nice. They almost got Soriano this off-season but they wouldn't give him the seventh year that he wanted on the deal. My guess is that A-Rod wants longer than five years. If A-Rod does happen to go to the Phillies, which is unlikely, I would love to see that line-up. The top 4 hitters then would all have legitimate shots of winning MVPs or have won MVPs.

    Rollins
    Utley
    A-Rod
    Howard

But then they would ask for A-Rod's head the minute he doesn't give it all on the field. They need starting pitching. There has been talk of Lowell and Rivera coming into the fold for next year.

I am getting shivers thinking of the Phillies' line-up with A-Rod though.

Don't forget all of those saves Jesus had as well.

I have faith that the Red Sox lineup can hit Christ. Nail him, in fact.

I'll be hopping the express train to hell, now.

I don't know, he seemed kind of perfect in pinstripes, didn't he?

Yeah, and he can stay there.

  12. Gammons made me sick. I bet that loser fanboy partied with the team after the game.

What a whiner. If A-Rod ends up in Boston he'll fall in love. He said Rodriguez ruined it for Boston, but he chose to talk about it and take shots. Unprofessional homer douchebag.
