Dude, you're such a homer, you even put NY where it doesn't belong. ;D

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

First of all, the phrase is "Couldn't have cared less about"

Secondly, if you really think Gammons COULDN'T care less about Rodriguez if he played on any other team, you have even less of a clue than we thought.

  3. Hard to focus on grammar on an iPhone. But thanks for your concern. I'm off to English 101.

Isn't the fact that the country already has Godzilla to deal with punishment enough?

Since Gammons is one of the best his fan-boy act is OK?

Buck, I absolutely agree with you.

I don't understand the line of thinking that says Gammons can't criticize ARod's lack of class. Why not? Gammons is legend in the business, has covered the game longer than some of us have been alive and is one of the most connected reporters in the business.

The timing of ARod's announcement and today's Yankee's managerial announcement are absolutely fair game.

Both are classless. One doesn't have to be a Red Sox fanboi to think that.

And, by the way, boy do we talk too much about being a fanboi these days. I'm as guilty of it as anybody, but, damn.

Why is everyone blaming A-Rod for this? Does anyone honestly think he timed it intentionally to cast the spotlight on himself? He opted out of the deal; I'm sure he wouldn't have cared if this was announced tomorrow, or the next day or next week. This was Boras, pure and simple.

That's not without merit, but, in the end, Boras works for ARod, not the other way around.

  12. Nobody said Gammons couldn't criticize. He can do it all he wants. What's wrong with it was that he chose to criticize that the announcement came during the Red Sox celebration and all he did was talk about it more WHILE the Red Sox were celebrating. But he can do what he wants. That's why he makes millions and I drive an American car.
