You do understand that ARod announced his opt-out DURING THE GAME. Gammons was asked a question about the timing of ARod's opt-out and he answered.

A-Rod didn't wish to bother to show up for an a major award at a World Series site, yet Boras has the gall to pull this crap? If A-Rod is so incredibly good, then he should fire Boras and negotiate his own deal.

Exactly. I don't think A-Rod had anything to do with it other than the decision to actually opt out. The announcement has Boras' slimy fingerprints all over it.

 

As an athlete, I'd fall in line with Boras because he gets you paid. What else if there really to care about. Last time I checked, A-Rod gave two craps about being considered one of the great Yankees.

If there was ever a need for reporters to need representation, I would sign up with the Boras equivalent in a heartbeat.

 

And if I remember the timing, didn't it break just after the Sox went up 4-1?
