I don't think ONE loss in 25 games lessens a single thing Curry has done this year. If he was the choice, he would have been just as solid a choice after that ONE loss in 25 games

I'd be curious to go back and see how many male Sportsmen of the Year were posed like sex kittens on the cover.

Oh, I agree. But the defending MVP on the defending champion on a team that was still undefeated when the choice was revealed (and that would have still been undefeated when the Cavs came to town on Christmas)? Gulp.

I can't argue - you can't make a super strong case for all 15 finalists to me but you can for a lot of them and all I can do is go, yep, you're right. Not an easy year to make a pick but I'm not going to argue the pick that was made.

Apparently, the cover was her idea.

For those of you who wanted a fucking animal can you please explain why?

I'm not surprised. And the correct answer would have been, "Thanks for your input. We're going in a different direction with it."

The horse was the first Triple Crown winner in 37 years, then won two more races. It helped put a sport back on the map. There were humans involved, as well, and, really, it's their story, too. You give it to the American Pharoah Team, or something like that.

I wonder if they would have let the horse pick how he was going to be posed on the cover.

Except the sport isn't back on the map. The general public doesn't care about the sport. Just the horse.
