Steph Curry will sell more magazines than that damn horse.

I noticed Thomas Davis is on the list for a season in which he received zero All-Pro votes. I would love for it to be him so the NFL's "See? Not Everybody In Our League Is a Criminal Shithead!" campaign can be completely exposed. Maybe they can direct the money they get from the DOD toward SI's advertising department.

My vote would go to Curry.

For me, it is American Pharoah.

Even if he doesn't win, he made the Jewish Daily Forward’s annual Forward 50 list of notable and newsworthy Jews.

    American Pharoah

So he has that going for him.

Serena and Pharoah are the only ones I'd consider. Curry, Speith and Messi would make it in "Others receiving votes."

Whoa, when did Jordan, Magic, Wilt, Russell or Kareem dress for action last year?

    But...

If you had to put together a starting five of players in their prime for a championship of the world...

    Magic
    Curry
    Jordan
    PF - ?
Kareem or Wilt or Russell or Shaq or Walton

The point I'm making is you could easily slide Bird to the bench to make a spot for Curry. He's been that good.

All his big wins were on the Sabbath. Pass.

Good point. And he himself isn't kosher. No word on whether he's at least circumsized.

If Federer never won SI Sportsman, Serena isn't going to do it. Last tennis player to win it was Ashe in 1992, and he won it for battling AIDS, not on-court achievement. They're not giving it to the horse. The jockey, maybe (Affirmed's jockey won it in '78).

    Steph Curry it is.

Would be great if she got it. DW may shoot a gun for the first time.

Nobody has been better or more dominant than Djokovic in 2015. He's 78-5, 27-1 in Grand Slam matches; he's won 10 titles (out of 15 events, I believe). Djokovic hasn't lost a set in his last couple of events, much less a match.

There's no athlete on the planet I enjoy watching perform more than Curry, who has been incredible, but Djokovic has had the best year of any athlete. Of course it's tennis, and not Federer, Serena or Nadal, so nobody will give a shit. And I get that, too.
