Nah. He's lined up along the first base line with the other Old Timers, and gets a quick intro, and tips his cap.

He's not in the dugout, waiting for his individual introduction, and his turn to jog out onto the field.

I'd have to pay for my own ticket to the game, but I'd still talk better shit from the nosebleeds than the rest of you.

    A Shane Spencer type.

The White Sox have those guys, too. Ross Gload shows up for every reunion.

Sure. And then their are the guys like Bucky Dent, Jimmy Leyritz or Aaron Boone who will always get a big hand from the crowd, based on a big moment they had, but aren't genuine stars. Guys like Scott Brosius or Brian Doyle, who starred in the post season, always get a nice acknowledgement as well.

@jr/shotglass is an Andy Pettite type. Left for greener pastures. But in the end returned to pinstripes.

And the Penn State thing is like the Steroid usage. You remember it, but it’s mostly forgiven.

Oh, I'm sure you both have it in your extensive files. Your reputation precedes you.

I'm sure KJIM regrets reviving this thread.

Why is it that's always the reaction when things take a nasty turn? If things didn't take an occasional nasty turn, this would be disney.com, for god's sake. And oop would be nothing more than a sparkle in his parents' eyes.

I think a lot of posters are hoping for more along the lines of The Daily Kos.

That's why TSP said what he said, I think.
