Simply Beautiful Songs

I feel like posting a YouTube link for Metallica's "Am I Evil," but I get the sense Starman might object.

 

He'll just grab your sledgehammer and smashy-smashy the thread.

 

I love this thread; I was just having a little fun with Starman's complaint, which has some merit. I think people are just starting to post stuff they like, as opposed to "beautiful" stuff. All of the 417 songs I've mentioned, with the exception of Am I Evil, I do consider beautiful on any number of levels. Now if you start a thread of just favorite songs, then I'll post a couple thousand times.

 

I haven't listened to the whole song in years because I got sick of it when it was released, but the guitar solo in "November Rain" belongs here.

 

It's practically impossible to define "simply beautiful."

These three songs are the most beautiful of the Beatles' very early original ballads.....all were thrown away on B sides, but they stand up with everything else the band ever recorded.
