I'll add "The Last Time I Saw Richard" by Joni Mitchell, though you could choose any number of her songs. The touch of sadness is oddly beautiful, though.

 

Goddamn Lonely Love is just about my favorite sad song ever.

 

Have you seen Isbell live? Not on purpose, but I seem to be following the guy all over the last few years. He puts on a great show. What a talent.
