We joke about his online writings, but this is starting to look a lot less like James Holmes and a lot more like Elliott Rodger. And for all our Amy Schumer jokes, the guy raged against women having any agency, then murdered people at a movie that served as the mainstream breakthrough for an unapologetically raunchy female comedian, in which she jokes about having sex with hundreds of men. I don't think that's a coincidence.

 

Maybe but Sarah Silverman already played the comedic part of, I fucked hundreds of men and am unapologetic about it. No mass shooting there.

 

Did Silverman ever open a movie as the star, let alone one that had the success Trainwreck has had? I loved Silverman, but I can't imagine Houser watched a ton of Comedy Central programming.

 

Well, she wanted to eat a lot of cheese with Garlin. That might qualify as opening a movie as the star ... a star, anyway.
