I get crap emails from the NRA and the NRA president almost every day saying that Obama is going to take away your guns. They know that's not true.

And a responsible organization committed to gun safety would be for the banning of certain types of assault rifles.

 

The NRA didn't invent scare tactics. Interest groups and politicians of all stripes use them.
