Buzz is kidding himself. When he starts having success at the level of Jerry Moore, then maybe he can belly up to the negotiating table.

If that's his attitude, let him rot with the Bobcats until Bob Johnson has another itch to clean house. And rarely has a place been in more dire need of a housecleaning - owner included.

Alexander Johnson left early as well.

I'm about done with this re-courting of Michael Jordan's roomie. Looking into the numbers, he only had mild success when he was there the first time. If he does take the job, the man better produce, and fast, as ASU only graduated one senior from a team that had more than its share of close losses last year.

I've already said it earlier (either on this thread or another), but ASU has possibly the most talented team in the league returning next season.
Whoever takes over has the potential to win 24-25 games on the assumption that he can keep the guards from turning the ball over every other time down the court. ASU can run with anyone and it has the best pair of rebounders in the league. I've already picked them and College of Charleston to win the two divisions.
Buzz also knows this from his time at small-conference schools: If you sign for a low amount off the bat, you're never going to get a hefty raise. That's why his name was popping up seemingly every five minutes while he was at ASU the first time, as well as Tulsa and Coastal Carolina.

If he does take the job, he'll also be working for a competent AD this time around.

Marquette assistant and former Colorado State coach Dale Layer to Liberty ... and thus my personal hell ends.

    Who is West-By-God?

Western Kentucky? Or some team out West?

I think Kansas will be No. 1 if everyone comes back -- but all of these teams are contigent on guys coming back.

Russ Pennell goes from the interim gig at Arizona to a head coaching position at Division-II Grand Canyon State.

Seems like a hell of a step down. I'm thinking he didn't want to leave the state of Arizona.

South Carolina's Darrin Horn talking to Xavier, per The State newspaper.

Cincy Enq. also saying Tulsa's Doug Wojcik may be in the running, as well as a current Xavier asst.

Why doesn't Xavier go after Brad Stevens?
