Or sex. Some guys are with total bitches who emasculate them. As with anything, painting it as only women making stupid choices is a major mistake.

Oh, I agree. I just didn't feel it was necessary to highlight men making stupid choices since that sort of thing should be obvious to all and sundry. ;)

Simple answer: Get off the messed-up chick express.

There's your mantra: "I'm better off without her." Repeat as needed.

Too bad. So sad. Her loss. You deserve better than her. When she comes back around, don't fucking be where she's looking for you.

Along those same lines, I met a girl earlier this week and we ended up back at my place. After some making out and whatnot, I notice she's hesitant and ask what's up. She tells me how her most recent ex used to beat her and had broken her eyesocket, etc. She says she started freak out because she saw my stairs and it reminded her of when he smashed her face against the ones in her old apartment.

She was a cool girl and we ended up talking the rest of the night and sleeping NEXT to each other, not WITH each other.

Would have liked to continue hanging out with her as friends (frankly, I just don't need another girl with bad ex-bf issues, but I could use some more friends in my new neighborhood), but she never returned the call or text I sent.

Just as well. I'm glad things didn't go any further.

You pay for the sex change operations and I'll magically find one for you. Oh, umm, did that go too far? Whoops.

The messed-up chick express is rough enough.

But the Batshit Crazy Chick Express, now that's a ride.

We have our first official date tomorrow, during which we will see each other for the first time in non-ball-playing clothes.

We're going to a dinner theatre and will be accompanied by his parents (don't think I won't have a couple of panic attacks about that over the course of the next 30 hours).

And now I have to figure out what to wear. How much would it cost to fly sportschick, IJAG and the other girls in for one afternoon?

question: is the guy still married? i thought you already posted that, but i can't remember.

a coworker's brother just got divorced, and is lucky he didn't find himself in hot water after joining a few dating sites before the ink was dry on the papers.

Still married. Given that she has gone through three boyfriends in the last six months, we're thinking it's OK to go out on a date.

Why would/might he have been in hot water? Just curious.
