If I was truly smarter than the rest of you, I wouldn't be wasting my time with a bunch of loosers on a message board :D.

I may be going on a date sometime in the next few days with a girl I've known since preschool.

In all seriousness, good luck. I've generally found that, unless I make a move on a woman within a pretty short time-frame upon meeting her, it's really awkward to move past that. Sort of like talking to someone at a party for a half-hour and then having to ask their name.

This is a bit of a different circumstance, I'm guessing.

It is. We graduated high school together, and then lost touch. She moved away for school, and is now back after going through a bad relationship with a guy who turned out to be emotionally abusive. So, we're definitely going to take things slow and see where it leads. She obviously has a trust issue with men, and that's understandable given what she went through for however long they were together.

Just talking to her the last couple of days has been great. She was someone I was always really close with throughout school, but she moved a few hours away for school and just now got a Facebook. She added me about three weeks ago and we've been talking on the phone for little over a week.

  12. Good luck KY, sounds like she could use a guy like you.
