I'm totally going to save some of these comments, take them out of context, then use them as blurbs for my campaign literature next year.

"For the record, I vote for Double Down every year. ... We're probably related." -- 21

"DD, you and I should feud." -- dooley_womack

"You don't need a scandal. You need a new handle." -- Ace (I like the Al Sharpton cadance here.)

"You'd pass that Pepsi Challenge any day, DD." -- Bubbler

I'm honored to have a second-team finish. I didn't see it until maybe an hour ago. My wife just called to tell me what time to have dinner ready for her and I told her about it. She said, "Well, you spend enough time on that site." I said, "Come on, I only have 3,000 posts. There are people with 10 and 20 thousand." She said if I had 20,000 posts, I'd be spending the rest of my free time looking for a new wife. Ah, well. She doesn't understand how this site has changed me. I never used to refer to other drivers as "douchenozzles."

I voted for Jones for member of the year. I had some vicarious thrills reading about the drunken Toronto and Minnesota trips.

As is well demonstrated on this board, there's a big, fat difference between having a turgid wurst and being one.

I didn't vote, and I feel bad because Double Down was right on top of my list. He's always entertaining and informative and never resorts to a name-calling dicksnort in order to get his point across.

So DD, you had my vote. I just didn't cast it. How American is that!!!!

A good thread starter is worth his or her weight in platinum.
