Outstanding work. Like I said, better than any of the others I've seen.

A piece of background on this one -- it wasn't really a love song. McLachlan wrote this about her personal stalker. From Wikipedia:

    That was better than great.

I'm going to do some youtubin' with some of these nominations.

As a p.s., does anyone remember how angry early Chicago was?

Terry Kath definitely had an edge to him. And surprisingly, so did Cetera. Both were gone from the picture by 1985.

coco, you da best! great job!

good to see bruce/thunder road at 11. i figured most of the top 10 would be 'beatles' dominated (deservedly so) and was very pleased to learn bruce's greatest song ranked so highly.

the perfect storm for bruce fans and those who also love the no. 1-ranked tune:

    speaks for itself. ;) :D 8)

Seeing "Better Man" as number one reminds me once again that I was not born with the proper gene to be moved by Eddie Vetter and Pearl Jam

Dam, I feel so inadequate. I want to like them. With the introduction of every new album, I think this is the time I will become a fan of Pearl Jam, but I am still waiting.

It's a strange and lonely place to be whenever I see Pearl Jam at the top of these lists.

I'm in the same place as Boom with Pearl Jam ... except for that one song. I think "Better Man" dwarfed the rest of their work. But generally, I've never gotten the claims of greatness as a whole.

Good to see that Boom, Jr/Shotglass and I are in the same place regarding Pearl Jam in that I'm not a fan either.
