You know what's really amazing about that? You're still in third place in the SportsJournalists.com pool. That's tough.

  2. I may be leading now, but I have precisely one shot at winning this. I need to nail the rest of my pics AND have Georgetown win, I believe.

I just checked the site. I'm all alone in 1st place, with RedSmithClone 2nd and FlyingHeadbutt leading a pack of folks tied for 3rd.

    Dayyyyymn!!!!

And I'm just six picks away from winning it all!

I can finish second if the FF is Florida, Kansas, Georgetown and Memphis with Kansas beating G'Town in the title game....and I'm tied for 57th right now.

My bracket just blew up and nylon fragments are everywhere.

At least it was UCLA pushing the plunger. I can live with that as long as the Bruins go all the way now.

    Sirs, Madames,

My ass fell out with Memphis--jobbed by refs.

    YHS, etc

Fuck me. Losses by Kansas and Memphis nuke my previously pristine bracket.

Like my favorite team, I can only flirt with history.

Oh well. Had all eight Elite Eight teams, so it was good while it lasted.

Sadly, I went 2 for 2 in my big-money bracket today with UCLA and Ohio State. In fact, that's my title game with the Buckeyes winning it. Obviously, I would have rather been wrong on one of those picks.

There are 17 bracketeers who are below me in the standings yet picked more games correctly. Nah nah na-na nah to anyone ranked below me ...

RedSmithclone (final 8 and Final Four intact; he has Florida beating Ohio State in the final) has taken the pool lead, 94-91 over three people: Mason Nation's Neighbors, Throwing Darts and Hoopswriter's bracket.

I'm not talking about my bracket. :(
