I do believe the line that caught Jimbo's attention (and was heard by everyone within a four-mile radius of Betty's on Saturday night) was "Shut the fuck up, old man."

Everything I say is heard by people within a four-mile radius.

And apparently commented on by people within a two-seat radius.

Another observation: The Boy looks somewhat like Paul Rudd.

    Um...I don't think I saw that.

Well, I did. And in personality, he's like Paul Rudd's character (Phoebe's eventual husband) in Friends.

I had stopped watching it by then. I just remember he came to Phoebe's apartment about some rats or something. Never saw him again.

But I didn't get to talk to The Boy much either.

A big thanks to all our Canadian friends, especially JR and HC, for hosting a second-to-none gathering.

HC, we'll do what we can to take care of the Cup while it's in the Carolinas.

JR, that outing could have gone on for a few more days. Still feeling tinges of sadness that it's in the past.

Jonesy and special guests, it was great catching up on the local and national goings-on. Can't get info and stories of your ilk like this in my corner of the world.

To Double J, one of the few that gets to travel south to find us in Toronto. Thanks ... can't get enough good Canadian stories.

Maple Sugar, the handle doesn't do your sweet nature justice.

Spnited, it's finally good to put a name to the face. You're not old ... you're simply better-traveled and wiser. Who was that guy in the elevator?

Patchs, so much enthusiasm and not enough time to do everything. Oh yeah ... was my nametag big enough?

Dooley, glad you found us in the back of a bar.

To Dooley, Pete and Ragu: Nothing like waiting out a 14-inning game. Good to see the Jays rewarded for some nice plays in the 14th. Doubly good that it happened before we all had to find transportation and get back to real life.  :D

To Bobcat and Dad: A true pleasure. We'll be on the lookout for a new orange hat or two.

To FJ and Dr. J: Keep having fun, laughing and shooting photos.

PaperDoll and Boy, good to see you having fun and taking notes - mental if nothing else - at the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Ragu, you lived through TWO nights with IJAG? That alone is an achievement most don't survive to see.

Pete, proof positive that number of posts is not indicative of quality of person.

As for the Hockey Hall of Fame, simply outstanding. Lots of good souvenirs.

Finally, to IJAG, Wicked and Sxy: The three of you turned a lot of vehicle time and cramped hotel space into an unforgettable adventure. I don't deserve your patience and kindness, but I'll take it nevertheless.

I Googled Paul Rudd, and I don't see it either.  I've never watched "Friends," so y'all will have to help me out on the personality issue.  I hope it's a compliment.  ::)

Paul Rudd ... a proud Kansan and Jayhawk who wore a KU hat during one "Clueless" scene.

Just thought I would mention that to my Mizzou buddy.  :D

Holy crap, Sam, you just used "IJAG" and "patience" in the same sentence!

You also just summed up a great bunch and a great weekend almost perfectly (especially the better-traveled and wiser part ;D)

Well, Sam must be a master of creative writing and/or diplomacy. And 'Doll, I definitely meant it as a compliment. Paul Rudd is a cool actor.

IJAG had no patience when wicked started making people drunk dial the room at 3:45 a.m. on Saturday.

There, see, spnited? Anyone can put me and patience in the same sentence.
