I'm still willing to pay anyone in Toronto if I can sleep on their couch for a couple nights on either side of the outing. I really want to save the hotel money, and I just need a roof under which to crash. Your daughters will be safe. Please PM me to work something out.

Boom, registration is still open for that reading comprehension course.

Nothing ironic about it at all.

I've had passports since I was a teenager and from my experience it just makes it easier going through customs.

Doesn't mean I'm in favour of mandating it for Americans and Canadians to travel back and forth between the two countries.

    very nice. deleting your posts.

for those who may be curious, boom wrote that he initially had a spelling class scheduled for that weekend. however, hed freed up his time and was now available to come and kick jrs ass -- and that he would be outside of maple leaf gardens on july 15 (with his passport) to do so.

Does Boom think the Leafs still play at MLG?

And the Argos still play at Exhibition Place?

Of all the threads to have vitriol on.... ::)

But let's get this back to useful. I was wondering if tipping in U.S. bucks was OK, or if you had to convert to loonies to do that. And if I go to a casino, is that loonies only? What about at the ballpark?

And Moddy can maybe comment on if it would be kosher (no religious reference intended) for JR to put out a list of users who have made solid commitments to the outing (reserved hotel rooms or otherwise already set up lodging).

Most places will take US cash, particularly right downtown. The Dome gets plenty of US vistors so it shouldn't be a problem to use it there. (You might get fucked on the exchange rate, though.)

I've used US bucks at border casinos in Windsor and Sault Ste. Marie with no problem. Niagara would be fine too.

You can use US dollars in most places but you won't get as favourable an exchange rate.  Not sure about casinos as I've never been in one but having worked retail in downtown TO in my earlier days in the city I don't think you'd have a problem.

But Dooley, I expect you'll enjoy the jingle of a pocket full of loonies and toonies  :D

Boom's idiotic comments notwithstanding, it's preferable to either use your credit card or get some Canuck money.

Everybody will take Yankeebucks but as Huggy points out you'll get screwed on the exchange rate.

Speaking of changing money ... will you get a better rate on loonies in TO or on the states side of the border?
