IF I'm there, I'm up for going AFTER my coffee and doughnuts.

Keep this in mind: Unless the schedule has changed, the Saturday baseball game is at 4 p.m. and the Sunday game at 1.

I would be in for the HHOF, for sure. Just don't talk too loudly, given the likely group debauchery the night before.

Debauchery? Amongst a bunch of journalists? Never.

Well, we can't hang with the librarian's convention, granted, but still...

Last call for hotel rooms.....Last call for hotel rooms.....Last call for hotel rooms

If you are still planning to come to TO but haven't booked your room, the hotel just advised me that they've released the unsold rooms that they were holding for us.

However, even if you book now you'll still get  the "sports journalists.com" rate -- as long as there are rooms available.

July's approaching fast so the rooms won't last long.

(Manager told me that the place is packed right now with Red Sox fans. Some of the yahoos were at the game last night but they were drowned out with drunken chants of "Boston Sucks" from the 20 somethings in the crowd.   :)

So, uhh, for us SJers who don't live 15 minutes within a day's drive of T.O. ... anyone interested in a lil' shindig out West? Preferably in L.A., but anywhere on the Left Coast will do. It could be San Fran, Vegas, The Whale's Vagina San Diego, Seattle, Vancouver, Phoenix ... or the Reno-Tahoe Metropolitan Area. ;D

bw, I'm pretty sure the plan is to keep moving the outing further west each year. So be patient, and the circus will come to you!

Dallas/Fort Worth in 2007. That's already been awarded.

Denver/Seattle in 2008, as soon as a willing host steps forward in either city.

    Contenders for future years:

    2009 - Boston
    2010 - Cleveland/Chicago
2011 - St. L/KC (maybe they won't suck by then)
    2012 - Phoenix/San Diego

    I like to plan ahead.

My god, Boston and Cleveland back-to-back with my SportsJournalists.com peeps might be the closest thing to nirvana I can think of.

    Unless BYH shows up. :D
