SJ.com Outing, er, GetTogether, Toronto, July 14-16

This weekend marks the one-year anniversary of our first gathering. Oh, the memories.

-- Rental car issues
-- Pimps and hoes outside the bar (you know, I was so wiped out at that point that I barely remember)
-- Arriving at RFK Stadium in the seventh inning

Oh, what a weekend it was. Three more weeks, folks.

 

I can't wait to see wicked again, and STILL give him hell over his rental car.

I actually came across the photos from last year, including one of you sitting on Huss's couch when we were all passing the laptop around like it was life's blood.

 

Ooooh, the kid's laptop was like the sweet nectar of life. As was whomever's wireless Internet service we pirated.

 

I have to see if I can steal a work laptop for the trip to Toronto. I didn't log in to see what you freaks were posting while we were actually in DC.

 

Latest update - the baseball tickets have been ordered! Assuming everyone makes it we have 21 hardy souls signed up plus whoever decides to drop in on any non-baseball events.

The countdown continues.

 

I will be bringing my crappy old laptop that sucks, but despite its suckitude (1GB hard drive, 80MB of memory, oy), it still can fire up the wireless card and pull up my webmail -- and that's all that matters.

 

T-minus 21 days and counting.....

 

I will have my laptop with me, but it's a work laptop.

So, what shall I tell the IT guys when they see SportsJournalists.com in three days of history, and links to threads about floppy hats, car rentals, ho's in Toronto and lots of white russians (the drink, not the people - hi spnited!)?????????

 

I'm not a White Russian and I don't drink them

 

I guess I'll once again be bringing the most advanced, personal use computer to the outing
