    You betcha. It's supposed to be hot and sunny this weekend so the dome should be open. I'll be wearing a hat too, probably.

    The 500 level seats we'll have are in the open part of the dome when the lid is back so it'll be steamy.

    We have some serious rain here today and all they're talking about on the weather is how hot it'll be this weekend when the system following the rain moves in.

    Anybody seen the Mariners rotation for the weekend?

    News, whether it is bad or good depends on your point of view:

    The Moddys are out, unfortunately. Condition has not improved to the point where she can make such a trek, and she's not happy. She's made me promise we'll go to Dallas next year (like that was tough to extract) and we'll go to Toronto some other time (also easy and we'll get our Canadian hosts all to ourselves).

    Two things:

    *The running threads/updates better not suck. I'm on this trip through these and I want details.

    *I have paid HC for two tickets to each game. SirValiantBrown, his smartassedness aside, has dibs on two of them for Sunday, I think. If you don't have tickets and want to go, HC has my permission to farm mine out however she sees fit. Or you can leave my seats empty and make it some sort of shrine. Send pictures.

    Oh, a third: Jones, tell your subscription folks to send my damn magazine. I was going to save that to tell you in person. I think I paid. Even if I didn't, get them to send one. And I'll forgive you for not calling when you were like 20 minutes away.

    Damn Moddy, that sucks.  Give my best to the Mrs. for a full recovery and, as previously stated, the Toronto contingent will welcome you with open arms any time you guys can make it up here.

    Sorry, you can't make it, Moddy, and I'll second HC's sentiments about Mrs. Moddy.

    Maybe come up for a Capitals/Leafs game. That should cheer you up.

    I will report faithfully on Jones' shenanigans.

    Photogs didn't get us photos til near 11 p.m. last night so we were out an hour late last night.
    Power was out this morning.
    It's raining.
    And Moddy's not coming to Toronto.
    God this day sucks.
    It won't be the same without you.
    I needed another old fart veteran to hang with.
