Wow. Just caught up. I have no words to describe the previous 20 or so posts.

(Y'all's drunk threads suck. Clearly, y'all have a lot to learn. Some of us late-nighters could help you ;).)

But damn, the outing sounds like fun. Us Southwesterners got next.

BIG difference between a "drunk thread" (hi "late night crew") and a thread in which people have posted after drinking. Hell, if that's your definition, then almost every thread on here is a "drunk thread."

Obviously I have no clue what happened last night after I split for the 'burbs, but yesterday was great. Was terrific to to put a face to the screen name of so many that I enjoy reading on here. Hope you all enjoyed your little taste of Canuck hospitality.

    Some highlights:

    - talking baseball and football over a beer before the ball game with spnited (who, contrary to some reports, did not do the gameover from the Duluth Eskimos first-ever game)

    - talking booze and its after effects with the Farmer Js

    - strolling from the Rogers Centre to Betty's with my boy JJ and fellow Fish fanatic Patches. Let's hook up again boys.

    - talkin' rasslin' at Betty's with The Boy

    - oh, and my Jays won (even if we left at the end of the 11th)

Thanks to JR and HC for all their hard work in making it happen. (Shit, I still owe $9 for my ball ticket!)

Oh yeah, and BYH is right: everywhere we go the kids wanna rock!!!!

HC & I are now home.

Last night was a fine end-of-season banquet.

BTW Moddy, HC gave your Sunday tickets to a drunken Jimbo who was sitting near us at Betty's. He had a bit of a limp and was  using a hockey stick as a walking stick (I shit you not).

Huggy had one of the great stories of all time about Gary Bettman.

Ended the evening at, where else, the Irish Embassy?

Group met this morning at Tim's for coffee, bagels, strawberry tarts and apple fritters.

Retired to a park across the street for class photos. Sxy accosted several passersby before she found one guy who'd take the group pic.

In summary: we had an absolutely great time. There were no fistfights, IJAG & Spinited are now an item and HC & I were honoured to meet you guys. Nothing but good people.

And Moddy, when you and the Mrs. make your  TO trip, you and I are going to have an Hawiaan shirt contest.

  8. Post the photos NOW.
Because, as you know, this thread is useless...

    A. Email me the pictures.
    B. You will get your ass kicked in a Hawaiian shirt contest. I'm unbeaten for a reason. I ain't got much skilz but I don't lose those contests. It's on, homes, it is on.
    C. I'm extremely glad to hear Outing Two has been a raging success. Onward to Dallas/Fort Worth 2007.

Okay, the computer twice the size of two washer/dryer combos qutoe was me, OHBC.  My high school got a computer when I was in Grade (1974) and it was kept in a separate room.  There was no keyboard, you had to fill in squares on  a gazillion cards and if you got one squiggle wrong, it rejected your program.  This led to my observation that the idea of a computer in every home was laughable and the idea of a small computer that you carried around with you was science fiction.  So at least I can clear up one mystery.

I can't tell you how much fun this weekend was.  A truly great bunch of folks all heading home with serious addictions to Tim Horton's and Canadian beer.  I've even forgiven Carolina for winning the Stanley Cup (hats off to you, Sam Mills) so you know that there was serious mending of international relationships.

And yes, I gave Drunk Jimbo your baseball tickets Moddy.  He was a real Jays fan and had been at the bar watching the game before we arrived so I felt that they were going to someone who would put them to good use.  And the fact that he was using a hockey stick as a cane just made him an even better choice.  Spnited and Cradle Robber will have to report on whether he actually showed up or not.

Again, my thanks to everyone that came and y'all are welcome back anytime.  But next time, we're gonna watch hockey!!!  :D

A special shoutout to those who sent text messages - Johnny Dangerously, Cadet and 2muchcoffeeman especially. Rest assured that all messages were shared with the assembly and Canadian beers hoisted in your honour. :D
