The only thing I've found annoying is the line:

    End of thread.

Which I suppose could be just as annoying as:

    End. Of. Thread.

Threads announcing that "Animal House," "Shawshank Redemption," "The Godfather," "name another movie that has had a thread started half a dozen times" because it was on TV and someone had to tell the rest of us, have to go.

Oh, and can we just put a rest to the threads that begin with a photo of a female sideline reporter and degrade from there with all kinds of lewd comments. It's classless.

And no more of people posting, and a certain poster or two immediately jumping in with a photo that says, "release the hounds." It is funny in VERY LIMITED circumstances.

I'll also go on the record to say that cat jacks are not funny and they are really annoying.

But on a positive note (well, not really positive), I can never get enough of the word "maroon." Feel free to call each other maroons all day long.

We have an entire board for matters that are neither sports nor journalism. Which doesn't literally mean "Anything Goes," but we are allowed to have threads about TV shows, Hollywood movies/celebs, hot chicks/hot dudes and plenty of other trash-culture topics. I fail to see how lol cats are any worse a stain upon the integrity of the board than some of the other frivolity that goes on.

The lolcats truly have split the board in two.

    I fear a civil war.

The shooting of Archduke Stan Ferdinand hurled a continent into four years of unthinkable carnage.

Oh shit. Two anthropomorphised critters in a row. Buh-bye, thread. We should have been hurling unprovoked, profane insults at each other. That'd be more becoming of a forum for professionals.

I'm pretty sick of the word anthropomorphised.

But that's just me, I'm sure.

    Also, guys named Todd. [catchingupwithcarlinjackfrompagesago/]

    You know...

... if anything on here really mattered, this would be a good thread. But inasmuch as it is a FREAKING MESSAGE BOARD, the past six pages have re-defined the art of navel-gazing.

This will not end well. Or DTGDTN. Er ... wait ... what's left that I'm allowed to say?

  12. Thinly veiled criticism of our esteemed moderators doesn't last too long either. ;)
