I miss being preached at for not being sensitive enough when someone I 've never met dies.

 

I very rarely posted on the "old, old board" but I remember getting ripped on there one time. I was the interim SE at age 19 at a 45K paper and I was looking for suggestions on how to improve our minor league coverage. I got ripped and ripped and ripped (I may have even posted my real name then), and then a kind person, a beloved and well-respected person, came on the board and defended me and basically said that he heard for a 19-year-old idiot kid, I was doing OK.

And for that, I will forever be indebted to Moddy.

That was exactly it.

Much mockery ensued about that ad.

 

TSN Mike nuked himself because someone started a thread titled: Coach K, STFU. And Lugnuts must have an archive of the past on her hard drive.

FYI, TSNMike offed himself because he objected to the use of STFU in a headline. Said it was NSFW.  Maybe he had an issue with initials.

And Headbutt is right, Tahoe preceded SunDevil Peg.

What happened to her?

 

Peg left because she thought the board was too frivolous.

 

I thought that somebody else extrapolated that the chief advantage of living in Fresno was the easy commute, not that it was in actual ad copy.

 

Oh!  Then what did SunDevil Peg and flaghokie go to war over?

 

You may be right. I thought it all started with the ad.
