I had no idea that was also the cucumber-melon ass-scented candle thread!

God, that girl was an idiot.

And for the record, my contribution:

Shouting at the top of my lungs in tribute to:
--Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout (the equivalent of alcoholic chocolate milk).
--women who make their office wear look sizzling.
    --VH1 Classic.
    --The Onion.
--My daughter's friends, who make my daughter look sane in comparison.
    --Friendly dogs.
--QP with C and filet of fish (yes, I am heading for an early grave).
    --Trying a new cuisine.
    --KitKats with white chocolate.
I think I'll stop...getting hungry for some reason.

The beer and food things don't really apply so much anymore. And a style correction: BYH Classic. And I had less than 4,900 posts then.

Am I the only one who started humming 'The Way We Were' while reading that thread?

    Yes, you are.

And the thread had the shortest post Almatown ever made:

    Nice thread, sportswriter.

Pardon my noob question, but what happened to newsjournalists.com?
I saw the blue logo on one of the wayback threads. How long was it around?
Was it anything like this site was?

Oh how we miss Head of Khartoum and Khartoum (altho both were the same person).

And who could forget Clubber Slang's Day In The Life of Hockeybeat (which is saved in my PMs as I'm sure it is in others).

In the other SportsJournalists.com style guide thread, there was a post where 21 "figures" out that Lugnuts is a woman, but it seems Luggy admitted it four years ago with this exchange with Dooley:

    Lug,
A chillingly perceptive take on the male-female dynamic. Kinda like the Rousseau social contract, only racier.

I believe my pal Lugz got herself outed on Valentines Day of that year (non-reciprocal massage, hah!)....these posts appear to be from the following June.

Nice to see from that thread that the pointless pissing matches have always been here, despite what some of the board elders claim.
