They tried to move Carlson to make room for Karlsson. He's UFA after this year, maybe they think they can't sign him for what he'll command.

I would have given up a boatload for McDonagh and Zuccarello.

Orioles only for me, but even that is waning with the shitshow that is going to be this season. I’ve been an MLB.tv customer since they began offering the service and I canceled this year. I used to watch every game, even when they were super shitty, but I’d just rather spend my time doing something other than watching a shitty baseball team get blasted by teams I hate.

I wonder if a good chunk of the population, and particularly younger folks, are doing that. I just look at boxscores, and save 3+ hours of my life.

  4. You would be a terrible Cleveland Browns fan.

Football is different. Teams can turn things around quickly (except for the Browns).

The Orioles lost me when they didn’t make a big move at the deadline in 2014. Red Sox and Yankees out of the playoffs and you get the Royals in the ALCS. This is the window to win a World Series, and it’s not going to be long.

They didn’t sense the urgency of the situation, and didn’t win.

The only sports thing I’ll stop to watch is Texas Rangers baseball. And if I’m up early enough, Man United.

Tiger Woods, Lakers (but more the Showtime boys), and I can say with 100 percent certainty I'm board's leading fan of St. John's (Minn.) football.

Dude, they've only been around for 12 years and already fans are becoming lukewarm.

Still love going to games once or twice a year, just because it's such a fun stadium. But I'm with you. With the early schedule and the strength of the AL East, the Orioles may be completely out of it before the Capitals are this year. 3 vs. MIN, 3 at HOU, 4 at NYY, 3 vs. TOR, 4 at BOS ... they're staring 3-14 or 4-13 right in the face.

You're not wrong, but even with the lack of moves, they looked like the favorite. Just ran into the buzzsaw Royals riding high off that stunning wild card game win. They probably beat any other team that year.

As for this year, Buck will do it with mirrors for a while. They won't start off as badly as Cosmo fears. But like last year, there'll only be so long Buck can make miracles.

The fans here have always been lukewarm.
