Slut shaming in the Buffalo News?

The Buffalo News made that clear in the story. I'm fine with that.

I reject your premise here. It was more likely than not her. It's certainly not 50/50.

Besides, the quotes are every bit as much about Kane's behavior that night as the woman's. That's relevant, whether or not she was the accuser.

I believe Croce believes the woman he saw flirting is the one who accused Kane of rape.

Did he say that? I thought he said the opposite: He doesn't know.

    Then why say it?

Because he was asked what he saw that night, and he answered.

You don't think he believes the flirting woman later accused Kane of rape? Then why mention her? Of course that's what he believes. That's why he talked about her.

Actually, didn't Croce contact the Buffalo News to offer comments because he was so outraged at the treatment of Kane?

Sure, he probably thinks that. But the story made it clear that he doesn't know it for sure.

I'd have to go back and read it. I know that's why he said he talked. I don't know who reached out to who.

If you believe Croce, two women followed Kane out of the bar. The accuser says she and her friend went to his house. Two women in the house and no way to identify which was the flirter. 50/50

    No they aren't.

    That doesn't make it 50/50.

Let's say we know that two Astros batted, Carlos Correa and Jose Altuve. We know one of the Astros hit a home run. We don't know which one.

There is not a 50/50 chance it was Correa and a 50/50 chance it was Altuve.
