    Anybody see Piscopo selling gold baseballs during the playoffs tonight? What happened to that guy.

    He was trying to run for Congress in Jersey a few years ago, I think. Or maybe governor. Never got off the ground, fortunately for him.

    Is there any former star of the male persuasion who has had more "work done" than Joe Piscopo?

    Saw the cowbell sketch for the first time last night. Holy shit was that funny.

    The quality of work on that skit was amazing.

    My short list of their funniest sketches, off the top of my head, not necessarily in order:

    * The Chevy Chase/Richard Pryor job interview.
    * The Sinatra Group.
    * Synchronized swimming.
    * More Cowbell.
    * Matt Foley. (The first one.)
    * The Sweeney Sisters. (Pick one.)
    * The People's Court. (Jon Lovitz as the devil suing a hairdresser played by Roseanna Arquette. Jan Hooks plays her mom, Phil Hartman plays Judge Wapner. I don't know why, but it kills me.)
    * Dick in a Box.
    * Belushi as Joe Cocker.
    * The Continental.
    * Old Glory Robot Insurance.

    Two more for their poignancy now: Belushi in "Don't Look Back in Anger" and Gilda Radner dancing with Steve Martin.

    Decent enough list, but no Eddie Murphy?

    James Brown in the hot tub?
    Life as a white guy?
    C-I-L-L my landlord?
    Buckwheat is dead?

    Or Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood. Yeah, any of those could be on the list, too.

    He also did a classic with Joe Piscopo -- Stevie Wonder and Frank Sinatra singing "Ebony and Ivory."

    "I am black and you are white,
    You are blind as a bat and I have sight..."

    A lot of SNL's problems would be solved by removing Seth Meyers as head writer. His sense of humor is sometimes just .. off. Tries to hard to be snarky while maintaining the 'classic' SNL feel.

    ... and have Armisen and Wiig taken out back and shot, too. WTF was that party planner thing on Weekend Update tonight? Wiig acting awkward and fixated on pancakes? That's funny? And three full minutes of it?

    Egads.

    a new trick to enjoying SNL is fast forwarding through the Kristen Wiig skits and bits.

    Much like the music segments from the bands you've never heard of. Unless you see Kenny G pop up. Then listen.

    I'm sure people will be along to bash last night's show with Ben Stiller but I thought it was really funny.

    The Lincoln Financial ad spoofs were weird and funny.

    The show wasn't perfect. Wiig — again — but when fast forward, she goes away.

    "Pumped Up Kicks" with Foster The People was one of my highlights of this season. They may well be a one-hit wonder, but I absolutely love that song.
