Agree completely on Armisen, who has always made my skin crawl.

Apparently he has a reputation for being the nicest guy in the world, which might explain why he's been able to hang around for so long. I heard Sandberg on a podcast over the summer and he said, "the entire cast would be devastated" if Armisen wasn't back, and this is when people thought he was leaving on his own.

I loved the French dancing skit - I think it's either the third or fourth time they've done it, and I've liked each time. It helps that the music they pick is always really catchy. Similarly, I like the skit with the ancient TV news guy, although it might be close to getting played out.

The fact that they didn't have Jay Pharoah do a skit on Eddie Murphy 1) pulling out of the Oscars or 2) bombing with Tower Heist makes me hope that they read his Rolling Stone interview and are trying desperately to book his as a host. Then again, he's so buried that maybe Lorne didn't remember he was in the god damn cast.

Only moment I've genuinely laughed this season - Jay Pharoah as Chris Rock

If they let Pharoah do Obama, the show would jump up about three levels.

Here he is on Letterman. The Obama impression is slightly after the six minute mark.

There are other videos of him doing Obama out there...

Hell, I'm surprised they didn't hire Sherman Hemsley to play Herman Cain.

I would agree with this to some degree. I have also turned to fast-forwarding through her skits. I have already seen it three or four times from several different characters. She is very talented, but they need to find better uses for her and not let her keep these lame sketches going. I liked Target Lady, the Just Kidding lady, the Aunt So-and-So movie reviewer, Gilly and even the stupid singing duo the first time I saw them. After that? Not so funny. And I have always hated the Lawrence Welk bit when she has the huge forehead and tiny hands. How is that funny?

I have always been a huge fan of Sudeikis. While I am in no way comparing him to Hartman, he plays that sort of role and he does it well. From the devil skit this week to the cop in the Scared Straight skits to the running man in the What's Up With That? skits, he makes anything he is in better. The ESPN announcers bits he did with Forte were hilarious. I think he is the best on this cast, by far.

First time I had ever heard of Florence + the Machine was doing "Dog Days" on SNL last year. I hope the performance this year is as mesmerising.

Never have. I don't get the humor in it.

I'm not sure I do either.

Oh, I do. I think it's hilarious. Every time.

When Elton John did it, I think I may have peed a little.

I laugh, but I'm not sure I can put my finger on why. Just the sheer awkwardness of it, waiting to see what she sings, and just those tiny little hands make me laugh.
