Wow, yeah - Wikipedia says O'Hara lasted about an hour on the show in 1980-81, and never knew she and Metcalf were ever brought on. And oddly enough, the SNL Wiki notes that Tim Robinson was born during that awful season six, haha. (I will say - Robinson's show is excellent, although there is a decent amount of cringe in there. Helps that the show is 12 to 20 minute episodes, roughly 3 skits each, though, which makes it easier to hang with than, say, "Nathan For You.")

    What a list.

The shitstorm that would have caused had it happened today ...

Hey... I wonder if Marc Maron has ever auditioned for SNL?

An aside: it was such sacrilege when I heard "Roundball Rock" on one of Fox's college games a couple years ago. You can't associate that song with anything but the NBA on NBC, and leading into either Marv Albert or Bob Costas.

An underrated castmember - seems like he just became too busy with other stuff. Eric Wdams, Stephen A. and several others will sleep easier.

That's eight cast members gone. I know they had a cast of around 24 so trimming the fat may have been welcomed, but when was the last time there was so much change? When Lorne came back and they "killed off" most of the Anthony Michael Hall/Robert Downey Jr. cast?

Thanks for posting, that was great. Can't believe I've never seen that before.

Pretty great news for Devon Walker, who's going to get some roles Kenan can't play for age reasons by default. (Well, unless Lorne decides to fly Fred Armisen in for shenanigans...)
