Oh, c'mon. You've got to admit it was worth that just for the picture.

Favorite part of that debacle was the fallout. Simpson sang halftime at Orange Bowl, I think, shortly afterwards and got booed. In the video, in just the slightest lull in the crowd noise, you distinctly hear one guy yell "YOU SUCK!"... and it made the broadcast.

The SNL cast now has an Oscar nominee in its midst: Kristen Wiig was nominated for Best Original Screenplay as co-writer for "Bridesmaids" (with Melissa McCarthy also being nominated for Best Supporting Actress). Good to see comedy represent (and to hear Limbaugh and other fatasses whine if McCarthy wins).

    Robert Downey Jr.
    Michael McKean*
    Eddie Murphy
    Bill Murray

    * for co-writing the song "A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow" from "A Mighty Wind"

Actually, that incident prompted me to watch the "Nick and Jessica" show when they went to the Orange Bowl - just to watch their reaction to the performance.

Wiig has to be the first run who's been nominated during her run on the show.

Paul Brittain is no longer a featured player, effective immediately.

And I do believe he will go down as one of the most anonymous performers in SNL history. Especially for someone with a few years under his belt.

I didn't even think "Sex Ed" was particularly notable.

He also did that Lord Windemere guy, so at least that painful five minutes is gone.

Somebody always says that, and if there's any reason to be watching TV at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, it's still a better option than the other things being offered. Yes, even when it's bad.
