SNL's Continued Downward Spiral Thread

Mick as a nun! Imagine telling 1983 you that Mick Jagger would be 80 years old and on SNL in 2023.

 

Heading into the last sketch, this episode was a lot better than it had reason to be.

Sure, they leaned a lot into the cameos to pick up the slack, and a majority of segments were based around the language barrier, but Bunny held his own well.

 

I didn't love it, but I agree Bunny seemed comfortable on stage and seemed to enjoy himself. That's more than half the battle most weeks.

 

The Columbus sketch had me laughing hard.

 

My first disc-by-mail service wasn't even Netflix - it was Blockbuster, as they tried to mimic Netflix in their waning days.

 

The cameo carousel continues. Can we get a Continental sketch now, for old time's sake?

Papa Pumpkin? Is he David S.'s father?

 

All right, that host is hilarious.

 

I thought that was a pretty damn solid stand-up opening from Bargatze.

"Lake Beach" hit way too close to home.

 

That Washington skit was very good. And the Lake Beach song was dead-on accurate.

 

The Fran Drescher skit was tremendous.
